Call for Abstracts

The Missouri GIS Conference is pleased to announce that the Call for Abstracts is now open!  We are excited to see what is happening in GIS across the state and want you to show off your work… We are looking for topics from everything from local government, utilities, education, private sector and more!  If it can be done with GIS, we want to hear about it.  Abstracts will be accepted through March 1st March 15th!

Why present at MOGISCON?

  • Let other GIS professionals see what you and your organization are doing
  • Share your knowledge with others who may be looking for ideas

Please submit your abstract by filling out the form below.

What is a Lightning Lab? These hands-on technical labs show how to perform a specific task or tasks. They last 1 hour with time for Q & A and attendees will be able to try it for themselves (note: depending on number attending session computers may have to be shared). A take-away should be provided for attendees showing the steps done in the lab. Here are a few ideas of “Lightning Lab” Topics to consider: Build a Geocoder, Create a Simple Street Network, Labeling Tips and Tricks (Maplex), Create your First Map Series, Set up Multiple Layouts in ArcGIS Pro, Build Your First Model, Create Your First Mobile App (must bring a smartphone or other device), Customizing ArcMap(or ArcGIS Pro), Create your First Storymap If you are interested in teaching one of these short sessions please check the appropriate box on the form and submit your idea. You can include some of your own “Tips” for working with the topic! There is space for 3 – possibly 4 of these sessions at the conference.
