Rebecca Sucher
Senior Manager, Living Collections
Missouri Botanical Garden

Rebecca studied horticulture and biology at Truman State University and has spent the last 20 years managing the  living collection and associated data at Missouri Botanical Garden. She is widely regarded among the public garden community as a leader and innovator in the field of living collections management. She provides training around the world on best practices for field collecting and collections management, including how to utilize modern technologies (including GIS!) for more accurate and efficient data recording to support plant conservation.

Closing Keynote

Dr. S. Carter Christopher
Director, Data Integration and Automation Office NGA Foundation GEOINT Group

Dr. Christopher leads the Data Integration and Automation Office at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. He and his team focus on developing and applying new technologies and workflows to solve some of the Agency’s hardest data problems for Foundation GEOINT. In his 10 years at NGA, Dr. Christopher has helped establish NGA’s role as a geospatial cloud service provider for the Intelligence Community, led the establishment of geospatial analysis and data science hubs, written technology strategy for NGA’s analytic element, and led global GIS training. Dr. Christopher has a PhD in Geography, and his career in the geospatial industry started 15 years ago with him doing stereo feature extraction to create Foundation GEOINT.
